Camphor oil a resin obtained from the camphor tree. It is derived from the wood of Cinnamomum Camphora tree. This tree is found in Asia, generally cultivated in India, Egypt, Southern Europe and California.

Camphor oil uses: Joint pain, Backaches, Neuralgia, Rheumatic pain, can be treated with Camphor externally. It is an herbal counter-irritant and most often used as an analgesic for topical treatment. Camphor oil can act as an analgesic too. The physical pain associated with external bruises or sprains along with severe inflammation can be treated with Camphor oil.

Camphor is used as a healing agent and forms an ingredient of most well known Ayurvedic oils. It has also been applied topically as an analgesic. It increases local blood flow. Poor circulation traps stagnant intracellular fluids in the joints and decreases the availability of nutrients needed for repair and growth of healthy tissues. This can be aided by application of herbal Camphor oil. Gentle massage of this type of oil provides soothing relief.
