Gotu Kola is described by Charak an ancient sage, as an anti aging plant. The herb that has been derived has been used for many centuries as a brain tonic.

Gotu Kola helps to regain general mental health through its tonic effect. Ref: Usman Ali etal Bull med. Ethnobot Res 2(1), 1981, 23-36.
Researchers stated that the tonic action of Centella Asiatica involves the stabilization of cell membrane and the revitalization of connective tissue. It also causes an overall decrease in the level of metabolic imbalances, thus facilitating learning and retention.
