Piper longum is primarily made up of volatile oil, resin, piperine, piperlongumine, pipperin, Pippalartin, Piplartine.

Piperine is a substance found in the plant Piper longun. Black pepper Oleoresin or Long pepper Oleoresin is used as the source of Piperine.
