Natural remedies for colds headaches that are helpful-
Common cold is a highly contagious, viral infection of the upper respiratory system. The symptoms include running nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough fever and headache. It is a fact that people suffering from common cold do not take rest. This is a wrong approach as lack of rest further reduces immunity in such conditions. So, it is important to take rest.
For Sore Throat: Gargling is very important.
Add ¼ teaspoon salt in a glass of hot water. Use this water for Gargles.
Gargles with Triphala powder- decoction are also advisable.
In hot water, add ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder and drink it before going to bed.
For headaches Apply paste of Myristica Fragrans or Nutmeg on the forehead especially in between the eyebrows.
For Running Nose and Nasal Congestion: Drink Basil Tea with a little Ginger powder.
A handful of Basil leaves, Black Pepper about 11 seeds, Ginger about 6 grams, Cinnamomum 0.5 grams and Water about 250 grams. Boil it sufficiently, then filter it, add sugar as needed and drink this homemade tea.
